John F. Enser


     John Enser (1898-1968) Texas born artist John Enser studied at the Art Institute of Chicago & the Academy of Fine Arts, Chicago under Herman Dudley Murphy and in the 1920's with Jose Arpa in San Antonio.

    Enser exhibited his works at the Witte Museum in San Antonio including works in the Edgar Davis Competitions in 1927 and 1929; The Annual Texas Artists Exhibition, Fort Worth in the late 20's and early 30's; The National Academy of Design, New York  in the 30's; the Boston Art Club & the Dayton Art Institute and others. He was a member of the The Palette & Chisel Club, San Antonio & The San Antonio Art League; Texas Fine Arts Association; Southern States Art League, New Orleans; Northshore Art Asso., Gloucester, Massachusetts.
